Nitric Oxide Supplements – Complete Ineffectiveness?
When you go to a store where nitric oxide supplements are sold, take a look at the label and you will see the following words which reads, “NO helps boost strength, generates perpetual pump, delays muscle fatigue, augments peak power”. Amazing isn’t it? That sure sounds like a miracle product. If there’s such stuff out there, why then would I even bother to spend hours at the gym working hard to build the perfect body? Why would I need to spend time lifting heavy weights to bulk up my muscles when there’s an easy short cut for me to gain all of these within the shortest period? Great questions for the intending body builder who obviously is being overwhelmed with all the magic that NO claims to offer the body builder.
Well I got news for you, nitric oxide supplements are not all that. Recently there’s been so much noise about the effectiveness of the supplement and the wonders it does on building muscle. Such hype about the product would definitely work on those who have no idea on how to gain muscle fast, but for me personally, I feel otherwise based on the results experienced by friends who have used NO, and reviews carried out by known people to me.
First of all, I’ll explain about nitric oxide supplements and then tell you why I’m not a fan. Nitric oxide is a gas naturally secreted in the muscle walls through arteries known as arterioles, in order to relax and leave the muscles bloated up. What does it all mean? It means when muscles contract as a result of a type of strain or stretch, the blood vessels become dilated, this dilation causes a sudden gas appearance that gradually settles into the smooth walls of the muscle cells relaxing it and making more room for more blood to surge through. This gas is what is referred to as nitric oxide.
You see every time you work out, do some curls and so on, you feel puffed up and heavy, a feeling that doesn’t last for 24 hours, that’s what nitric oxide does when it’s secreted into the muscle walls. The creation of nitric oxide supplements is to help the gaseous nitric oxide keep the muscles pumped and puffed up at different times of the day. So tell me wouldn’t that be great? To me, that’s the best short cut ever to gaining muscle real fast doing not too much work outs, but the real question is, does NO provide all these offers as it claims?
The answer to that is, most definitely a ‘no’. After consulting with a few of my friends who are into body building, they decided to give Hemodilator NO one of the best acclaimed nitric oxide supplements a trial. After using about 3 bottles, they concluded that in terms of strength, they gained little compared to what they were expecting. In terms of endurance, nothing was noticed and overall power, the increase was limited to about 20%, just as much as it would have been if they had not used the product at all. In the end it all proved nothing.
So what am I saying? Do not waste your money trying to get supplements that you feel will give you a quick advantage to building real quick muscles within the shortest period of time. Instead focus on supplementing the traditional ways with products that do work and are very effective and not exaggerated claims attached to products like the nitric oxide supplements.
